Morrisville, NC – February 25, 2013 – Castle Worldwide is pleased to announce that the preliminary application of our exclusive Internet-based Testing Proctor Training and Assessment Program has been accepted by the American National Standard Institute’s Certificate Accreditation Program (ANSI-CAP). Castle has been invited to complete the Application for ANSI Accreditation under ASTM E2659-09.

“Our proctor training program has always been strong, but we made a decision to ensure that it meets the standards of the ANSI Certificate Accreditation Program,” said Scott Greene, VP of Test Delivery for Castle. “Working with our psychometric team and leading testing professionals from the National College Testing Association (NCTA), we have strengthened our program. We are extremely excited about achieving this preliminary application status.”

Castle’s program provides extensive training for its test site proctors. The educational program and assessment cover all aspects of Internet-based test delivery including examination security, testing processes and procedures, managing emergency situations, and handling reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities.

“Castle emphasizes the ongoing training and assessment of our test site proctors,” said Greene. “By the end of March, more than 1,000 of our proctors around the world will be certificate holders of this program.”

ANSI-CAP is based on an American National Standard, ANSI/ASTM E2659-09, Standard Practice for Certificate Programs. The standard requires that programs meet defined industry requirements for content, follow determined processes, include constant feedback for quality improvement, and demonstrate effective program governance.

“For over 25 years we have supported and believed in accreditation.  Soon we will offer the assurance that it provides certified, qualified proctors for our customers. We are proud to be the first test delivery organization to seek third party accreditation,” said Jeffrey LaRiche, Chairman and CEO of Castle. “Our test centers, and our proctors provide the highest quality experience for our clients and their candidates.”
