A national testing company with over 2 million annual test takers approached Castle to create eLearning curriculum for updated versions of three online assessments. In addition to new assessment content, the client was also introducing a new user platform.
The Castle Solution
In early conversations, it became clear that the new platform, provided by a third-party vendor, would require that Castle create a new curriculum architecture. Castle assessed the client’s goals, learner needs, and feedback about the format and efficacy of the old curriculum in order to determine the best format for the new curriculum. Castle then presented the client with module prototypes to choose from, then developed the final format based on the client’s feedback.
Castle’s instructional designers studied the blueprint of each new assessment to understand the content requirements, then developed a course structure that encompassed all the included skills and levels of competency. Castle consulted with subject matter experts to develop accurate, approachable lessons with interactive self-assessment activities.
Castle delivered the new eLearning curriculum to the client on time. The new content and revised format provided learners with a fresh and engaging learning experience. Overall, Castle provided:
– 78 written lessons in 3 content areas
– 62 interactive practice modules developed with Articulate Storyline
Initial user feedback indicated that the new content was higher quality, more challenging, and clearer than the previous content.
