Better By Design

The first step in the development of a superior training or credentialing program is an analysis of exactly what the training must accomplish. To that end, a CASTLE instructional designer works with clients to formulate legally defensible policy, select an appropriate training and assessment design, and provide instruction in content validation for new or existing training programs. Topics that are carefully considered include target audiences, certification options, marketing techniques, competition, and delivery methods.

Developing Training On Your Information

During step two, our instructional designers work with subject matter experts to assess the needs of the company and identify the skill sets to be achieved through training. CASTLE then performs a job/skills analysis to determine the scope of the training program and investigates the characteristics of the individuals to be trained, including aptitudes, motivations, and learning styles.

Customized Training for each Skill Set

After completion of the important groundwork described above, a CASTLE instructional designer develops a training and courseware program to achieve or improve the identified skill set. We use specific tests to determine appropriate starting points for training, monitor each individual's progress, and ensure that the identified skill set is mastered.

The Science of Training

At CASTLE, we never assume that a training program is doing what it was designed to do. Instead, while the training program is going on, our instructional designers continuously monitor and analyze performance data. Initial tests highlight knowledge deficiencies so individuals can concentrate their studies, and final tests ensure that individuals who pass have mastered the material. Practice tests monitor progress, allowing the pace and focus of programs to be adjusted as needed.

Throughout the training program, we send information to management providing process reports, training results, and advanced registration information.
