American Society for Bioethics and Humanities

The American Society for Bioethics and Humanities (ASBH) was founded in January 1998 through the consolidation of three existing associations in the field: the Society for Health and Human Values (SHHV), the Society for Bioethics Consultation (SBC), and the American Association of Bioethics (AAB). This consolidation was organized by representatives of all three associations, was voted on by mail ballot of the full memberships in fall 1997 and was overwhelmingly approved. The Society is an educational organization whose purpose is to promote the exchange of ideas and foster multi-disciplinary, inter-disciplinary, and inter-professional scholarship, research, teaching, policy development, professional development, and collegiality among people engaged in all of the endeavors related to clinical and academic bioethics and the health-related humanities.

    About the HEC-C practice exam
American Society for Bioethics and Humanities offers an online practice examination with sample questions similar in type to those that will be found on the actual examination. The HEC-C Practice Examination is composed of 50 multiple-choice questions and is intended to provide individuals with a sample of the type of questions that will be asked. These practice questions do not appear on the certification examination. Success on the practice examination does not guarantee positive results on the certification exam. The intent of the practice exam is to give you experience with taking an online exam, the format of the questions, and the type of content that you'll see on the certification exam. You cannot re-enter this test once you have submitted it for scoring. Your score on the practice exam is NOT predictive of your score on the certification examination.
